Transcripts

From a public video to words you can check

Facebook video to transcript

Turn spoken Arabic, Hebrew or English in a Facebook video into readable text. Paste a public video link, transcribe the audio, then find the words and passages that matter to you.

The transcript stays in the language spoken. This is transcription, not translation.

How to transcribe a Facebook video

Copy the video link

Open the video on Facebook and copy its link from the sharing options. Use a public video that you own or have permission to process. A link to a profile or group is not a link to the video.

Paste it into Transcripts

Create an account or sign in. On the home screen, choose “Have a link to a Facebook video?” and paste the link. Confirm your email when asked. The app imports the audio for transcription.

Check the spoken language

Use Arabic for Arabic speech, Hebrew for Hebrew speech, or Auto for mixed speech. Review the available allowance and recording settings before starting. Speaker separation is optional.

Read, listen and find

Open the result in your library. Search for a name or term with Find words, read the surrounding sentence and replay the audio to check it. Correct important words before using a quote.

FB video to Arabic transcript

Have an interview, talk or discussion spoken in Arabic? Transcripts produces Arabic text with a right-to-left reading layout. You do not need English subtitles on the Facebook video: the transcript is made from its audio.

Dialects, background music, names and overlapping speakers can affect the result. Check important passages against the recording. An English-language video will not become an Arabic translation through this workflow.

Find words in the transcript

Add a word or phrase on each line in Find words. See the count for each entry and matching sentences, then jump to a passage. Hebrew and Arabic attached particles are supported, so common prefixes do not hide the word you are looking for.

Matching uses the transcript's words, not their meaning. It does not identify themes or recover words the transcription missed. Your word list is remembered on this device; it does not automatically follow you to another device.

If the Facebook link will not import

First, check that you copied the video's own link and that the video is public. A private group, friends-only post, deleted video or a video requiring Facebook sign-in cannot be imported. Even a public link can fail if Facebook restricts access.

If you have a permitted copy of the audio or video, use “Add audio” instead. For a video above the import limit, prepare a shorter permitted recording. Do not share Facebook passwords or try to bypass a private video's access settings.

Keep the original link with your notes so you can return to the source. Transcribing a public video does not give permission to republish its content.

Facebook transcription questions

Can I turn Facebook videos into transcripts without captions?

Yes. The app imports the video's audio and transcribes the speech. Existing Facebook captions are not required. Text shown on screen without being spoken is not transcribed.

Can I transcribe a private Facebook video?

The link importer works with public videos. If a private recording is yours to process and you have a file, upload that file through Add audio instead.

Does it translate Arabic into English?

No. This workflow produces a source-language transcript. Review that text first if you plan to translate it separately.

What does Facebook video transcription cost?

The same account allowance and pricing apply as for uploaded recordings. Speaker settings affect usage. Check the current pricing and allowance details before starting.

Start with the video you need to read

Bring a public Facebook link, turn its speech into text and check the passages you want to use. Your recording belongs in your account library, not on this public page.
